Review of the Xerox Phaser 6180

Old model printers have this bad quality of smudging up prints and documents after doing one job. Well, the Xerox Phaser 6180 is much better than that. Here are the redeeming qualities this product has.

The Xerox Phaser 6180 is not to large. The design allows it to save space as it can be set up in a corner and it will not block walkways. There always has been a comparison with the Dell Laser Printer because of its design and affordable printer supplies. They may look the same but most would prefer the abilities of the Xerox Phaser 6180.

It has both PCL and PostScript printing support. The text can be printed at a speed of 23.7 pages per minute and colored output at a speed at 1.9 pages per minute and 0.6 on photos with paper which has a glossy texture. This printer has two standard input trays which can be loaded with paper of a user’s choosing. It supports a lot of operating systems, from Microsoft Windows to Macintosh OS and LINUX. The printout has a sharp and more orderly format than other printers would give out. The ink itself has the redeeming quality of a good print, a glossy texture to show that it has good quality. Opening the front part of the printer will show the toner cartridges stacked upon one another. The control panel is easy to configure due to its two – line backlit LCD.

As for the bad parts, there have been problems with badly – positioned tray panel in front of the printer. The printouts sometime show some patterns in blocks with the line art. There are also the colored images that look a bit grainy and it even has halo images that appear at random. Finally, the prints on glossy paper appear to be a bit blurred and darkened, but that is a minor detail.
